Dt8666, will maiden her really really soon, it's just this stupid wierd weather recently, raining almost everyday! i want to do a lot more taxi tests before i maiden her. I really can't wait to fly her!!!!!!! I'm more than ready to fly this 2.4 meter beauty!!! 8 months of building is too long, i want to fly her!!!

Sure DT, Will sms Derrick for actual maiden flight date, he will let you guys know if you guys want to join our group to go Polo to fly, will be fun with lots of EDFs and turbine jets whizzing about in the sky! WooHoo! It's about time to do a "Sucker Meet" Haha!  ER, good to sit down and chat and talk about planes over coffee last night! More exciting times ahead! |

Jet maiden delayed, left retract's trunion cracked, had to order a replacement.... what a bummer...  |

That is not good sir, but at least you found the problem before the 1st flight it could have been nasty if it failed on take off or landing..

Not april fool's joke ER, one stupid retract trunion really cracked. Ordered a new pair from www.dreamworksrc.com already and today just delivered. Will have to take out the old pair and put in these new thicker ones these couple of nights , some more taxi tests and final C.G. checks and she's good to maiden. Fonz is back and we will fly both hornets in Polo field soon. |

Thanks fellas, Now it all depends on the weather really... if it continues to rain every alternate day, would be very difficult to maiden as Polo field will be wet and soggy, the wheels will sink into the soft wet soil, remember how Kalvin's Eurofighter Typhoon broke his front landing gear upon landing at Polo? Same perfect gentle landing maneuvre. once the main gears touched the ground it immediately dug into the soft ground and "wamp!" the front end came down very hard, snapping the front struts out, walau.... don't want that to happen to mine man... So hopefully the weather is good at least 2 days before maiden. If still rain continuously, have to delay maiden again. Keeping fingers crossed. When is the dry season coming?  ?  |
