At work I have access to SLA (Stereolithography) 3d printer. SO I came up with idea to print spare parts and upgrades myself. Troubles appeared on the step of obtaining printable 3d model. We have a 3d scanner ( Artec Eva) but... I've found it absolutely impossible to scan such small stuff. Is it possible to download 3d models somewhere? We are going to buy new Artec Micro, Specifications tell it is designed for very tiny objects, I definitely will try this, but any scan needs lots of post-processing work, so if it's possible to use existing models to print I will use them. (I'm a member of a club, and we have different planes and choppers). And the last question, I know Hyperion sells Pla filament to print parts, but I don't like the quality of FFF printers, Does polymers used in SLA suitable for flying loads?
