Looks like I need to get a new charger.... My existing Elite Charger by Hobbico can only do 3cells max11.1V for Li-ons. I need one for 18V. I am guessing that the Makita BL1830 is 5cells @3.6V/cell. I was looking at this model, Hyperion EOS 0610i DUO 6S 16N CHARGER, with Integrated LBA 10A balancer, TCS and 180W + 180W charger power. The datasheet mentions 1~6cells Li-ons at 3.6V/cell Can somebody advice if this is the right charger? Thanks.

Mech, All hyperion model from Sky can support your needs. You need to know the followings: - the balancer features will not be relevant to you if you don't have the balancer tab. some work needed to make DIY - You need to consider if you need a version with AC/DC function if you are not having a good 12v source at home
You have a very "nice" starter. go and fly every available minutes so you can have the best $/flight. Good luck

mech, just a quick reference tip for you.... 0606i - where the last 2 digits"06" depicts the max amp charging rate that this charger can deliver... this case 6 amp (6000mAh) 0610i - where the last 2 digits"10" depicts the max amp charging rate that this charger can deliver... this case 10 amp (10,000mAh) btw.. on your stater embarkation... one of it's kind!

Good luck Thanks DT. But I am confused. Only the 610iDuo seem to mention about the 3.6V/cell Li-Ion. Can I consider the 3.7V/cell output for charging 18V 3000mAh Li-Ion? Right, balancer ain't no concern of mine.... AC input function would be good. Currently I am using a power box from a PC. I am ok if AC is not available.
