Excellent ER, looks a lot easier than the Boomer conversion and that paint job is Oh So Nice. I am looking forward to further progress reports on this exciting conversion and of course to the flight testing, and of course hearing the noise (or lack of ) that the Stumax fan makes. .
Great job sir.

That's for sure coz besides making of the exhaust duct and grinding off the end part , there is no more other modification job which is required to convert this F-5E into an EDF jet. FYI, there is a plan change on the power plant unit coz after doing some calculation on the intakes last nite, I have dropped the idea of using the stumax fan. Instead, I will be using the TJ100 (2Y, 12S set up which gives me about 4-4.1KW) and the TJ100 should be in sometimes next week. As for this Stumax fan, it will goes into my SM F-16 as per my previous plan. Excellent ER, looks a lot easier than the Boomer conversion and that paint job is Oh So Nice. Thanks for the update ER, I am interested in the choice of motor that you are using in the TJ-100. Tam N recommended the 1515 3 delta for my fans and the big heavy birds.
It will be interesting to see how the two motors compare as the L-39, Boomer, Hawk and project ZZZ under detailed consideration at the moment as they are all heavy birds in the 6 to 8 Kg AUW.
Look forward to the next update sir..

In any case if you need more "power" the 1515.3 set up can hold up to 14S. I guess that is why Tam reckon this set up for your application. Have you started your L-39 conversion? ;D Thanks for the update ER, I am interested in the choice of motor that you are using in the TJ-100.
