It is our pleasure to inform all that the 0610i DUO is coming up with the 2nd version called DUO2.
The difference lies in the additional module to allow discharging of all types of batts up to 50 watts.
The original 0610i DUO1 charger will NOT be discontinue but will serve as a cheaper alternative for those who does not require the discharging function. The DUO2 will be retailed at about 29USD higher than DUO1 worldwide.
FAQ:
1) Can I update my HYPERION EOS0610iDUO to DUO2 via the interface cable?
Ans : No, the discharging module is of a separate circuit layout. It is not via interface upgrade. The DUO2 is a totally different charger.
2) Discharging up to 50watts, what does it mean?
Ans : it simply means you can discharge up to the maximum amp current of 10,000mAh, but you must adhere to your lipo dischage rating recommendations. Simply look for the C Rating that is rated on your lipo and do not exceed that discharge rating especially for small packs eg for 800mAh 10C, your max discharge allowed is 8000mAh, hence you have to discharge lower than 8000mAh.
