AIYO you are all saying what is dennisp doing making a Cessna..?, well very simple folks I wanted to do some base line flight training to get myself ready for the Extra 260…! This has to be one of the nicest models I have built for a long while, the only deviation from the box of bits is the nose gear steering push rod which is single piece rather than two joined by heat shrink tubing…AIYO. Capt. Sky mentioned that the fitting of the motor was tricky well actually it was a walk in the park..! just use the template provided get a piece of dowel the same size as the motor shaft hole in the fuselage, drill the first hole using the template fitted on the dowel, then fit a screw through the template and the fuselage and drill the remaining three holes job done in a jiffy. Sorry Capt. Sky but I had to change those supplied wheels nothing like scale, the MLG wheels on the 152 and 182 are like F1 car ones in width, not skinny things as provided. So there you are a nice model with a glass fiber fuselage and a semi symmetrical wing that it is easy to build and looks good and good value or money for a real model and not a foamy.

Oh btw, that prop looks a little oversize for it. Care to share your set up? Yep it does look a tad on the large size (too much Coke...!), the donk is a AXI 2212/20, ESC CC25 Pheonix, Tank is a ... TP 2200 3S, propeller "as is" is a APC-E 9x4.7, perhaps I should go down one on the diameter and up the pitch..? On the Watt meter I had 140 Watts (no not KW) with an input current of 15 Amps. Any recommendations Duct Master...?

Wing brace 100% before attempting any sort of aerobatics, otherwise could be a clapping wing... I have to say I am not a lover of wheel pants at least on models of this size, wanna take of grass no way LAH, but let us see how she behaves first maybe as DT advised it will be a STOL Cessna then no worries.

With the motor mounted on the front bulkhead of the fuselage I would love to know how they managed to get that propeller so close to the fuselage... The spinner is interesting too 1" diameter, no body seems to have one this small.....
