Hi fellow Pilots,
Anyone can tell me how to calculate flight time based on amp draw at WOT and the capacity of the lipo.
For example my power system set up draws 50amps at WOT and I'm using a 3000mah lipo. How long can I fly based on this setup?
Any formula I can follow?

let me try... Assume no loss conditions 3000mah = 3Ah. = running at 3A will be 60 min or 1hr. so for 50A, it is 16.6 time more than 3A, so we can use 60min/16.6 = 3.6min. Again, this is assuming no lost. the real life, you need to consider two more items at least for a quick calculation: - heat waste or efficiency - you don't want to run all the way to bloat your Lipo! so assuming you want o keep it to 70% for long Lipo life. So, 70% is 2.5min! haha.. you only have 2.5min for a FULL power safe flight. Again, real life flying is you do some low ro mid power flight as well! I captured my EuroFighter fligt which is mainly on 3D fying, you can see that I can have about 5.5min flight and consumed 2700mah on my TP3850 Lipo. so I always can assume I can do 5min safe flight. Good luck.

Very good information DT.
Thanks. Looks like I will need higher capacity batt for the mig. Tot of putting 2 x 2500mah 6s1p.
But seems like I need minimum of 3700mah. But space is a prob. Headache headache.

for a 90mm fan 3000mah will be too small. you are right, at least 3700mah will be a good start. I am thinking on that 2200 lipo from Zippy-R and use 6s-2P on one fan so total of 8pcs of 3S 2200. haha..

Amazing DT you managed to get al those packs in..., so this is where you are going to store all your Li-Po's...?
But jokes aside this could be a good solution, more small packs rather than going for big ones especially as there is the room.
