hi all
will be getting the hyperion balancer. was wondering how the balancer actually works? to bring the cells in a pack to the same voltage?
thx

Hi taz5176, The LBA10 balancer main purpose is to balance all the individual cells in your lipo to a min tolerance level of 0.01V differences in each cell. There is a datasheet of the LBA10 on our website which can share with you more. Btw, welcome

thx. sorry im not clear with my ques, im more interested in how balancer works during balance charging?
when a pack (eg 2s lipo) is charged with the balancer, how the 2 cells maintain a balanced voltage? does the balancer charge the cells individual? <- the wires in the balance plugs are quite thin (not sure of the AWG), i don't think it can take 5-6A charging current. so how does balance charging works in a balancer?

The balancer has 2 main leads (Black / Red) to be connected to the battery main leads. The balancer connector connects to the lipo balancer cord for balancing only. The main charging is actually done on the main leads (Black / Red wires), while the balancing cord actually does the balancing function only - not charging. you can refer here for more information : www.aircraft-world.com/prod_datasheets/hp/lba10/lba10.pdf
